"WE'LL SEE"
Along with the darkly uttered "many people say," "we'll see," or the longer version, "we'll see what happens," is one of Trump's frequently reiterated expressions. What "we'll see" suggests is that Trump is essentially a follower rather than a leader. Rather than plan and strategize how to make things happen in accordance with a vision of how things should be, he prefers to wait for things to happen and react. Language is important. It reveals truths deeper than the words it uses to express ideas. What Trump's language tells us is that what he practices is the very antithesis of leadership. It tells us that he is driven by events, a leaf in the wind. His posturing is intended to convey strength. His words betray his weakness to the world.
